Skywatcher: Meet the Author / Illustrator
In collaboration with Tilbury House Publishers, the Museum & Theatre is excited to welcome Maine author and illustrator Jamie Hogan for a special reading of her book, Skywatcher, a new children's book about a child who longs to see the stars. Create your own mini book in the Makerspace, hear Jamie Hogan read her story, and learn how to become a Defender of the Dark so that we can all see the stars shine brighter.
Print: A Bookstore will be in the Museum & Theatre’s atrium selling copies of Skywatcher and other children’s stories as part of a Holiday Pop Up Shop.
Special, optional programming during this Play Session starts at 10am and includes:
- 10am Mini Book Making in the Makerspace
- 11am Skywatcher presentation with author & illustrator Jamie Hogan
- 11:30am Book Signing with Jamie Hogan
Free with admission to the 9am-12pm Play Session.
BOOKING INFORMATION
Fill out the form below to make a reservation for a three hour play session in the Museum & Theatre’s exhibits. All parties must include at least one child and one adult. All visitors must reserve tickets in advance.
Admission is $15/person for everyone 18 months or over (babies 17 months or younger are always free). Infants younger than 9 months do not need to reserve a ticket. If you need to apply a discount to your admission, please choose the 'pay at the door' ticket options, and we will take payment when you arrive for your play session. (Members, you can use the sign-in button at the top right of this page to receive your 100% member discount ahead of time!)
If you are unable to select a specific date/time within the 10 to 14 day reservation window, that means TICKETS ARE SOLD OUT for that date and time. If you are unable to enter your desired number of tickets, that means there are tickets available for that date/time, but not enough to complete your requested order. Please select another date and/or time when available.
Online ticket sales end 15 minutes prior to the start of the play session, or when the session sells out.
HEALTH & SAFETY
If you or a member of your party become ill prior to your scheduled visit, you book the wrong timeblock by mistake, or your plans otherwise change and you cannot visit, please call the Museum & Theatre at 207-828-1234 to release your tickets.
