The Children's Museum & Theatre of Maine is proud to partner with the Beautiful Blackbird Children's Book Festival again this year! The Museum & Theatre will present a robust in-person schedule of literary and art activities for the whole family, including Read Alouds featuring local community members and art-making workshops. In addition, the Museum & Theatre will offer a Pay What You Can ticketing option for all visitors to eliminate barriers families might face in taking full advantage of our new facility. Events for today's Beautiful Blackbird Festival will be happening at least once an hour starting 9:30am and finishing at 3pm! More information on specific book readings and event timings can be found on our events calendar.
For the Beautiful Blackbird Festival Day, visitors are welcome to reserve their tickets by paying full price, but are also welcome to choose a price that works best for their family upon arrival. Space is limited, so please RSVP with the "Pay What You Can at the Door" options below! Infants younger than 9 months do not need to reserve a ticket.
Fill out the form below to make a reservation to explore and play. We ask that you arrive and leave as close to your time selection as possible and ideally no more than 30 minutes before your visit start time and leave no later than 30 minutes past your end time. All parties must include at least one child and one adult. Reservations for all visitors are strongly recommended to guarantee entry.
If you are unable to select a specific date/time, that means TICKETS ARE SOLD OUT for that date and time. If you are unable to enter your desired number of tickets, that means there are tickets available for that date/time, but not enough to complete your requested order. Please select another date and/or time when available.
If your party is larger than 15 people, you will need to contact our booking coordinator at angela@kitetails.org for availability at least one week in advance of your planned visit.
Online ticket sales end 1 hour after the start of the time slot, or when the session sells out.
HEALTH & SAFETY
If you or a member of your party become ill prior to your scheduled visit, you book the wrong timeblock by mistake, or your plans otherwise change and you cannot visit, please call the Museum & Theatre at 207-828-1234 to release your tickets.
