Have you ever wondered why ducks sleep on one leg? Why the sea is salty? Why the toad croaks so loud before it rains? See stories that you've never heard of before brought to life on our stage. Meet the heroes like...Rooster! Toad! And Swarm of Bees! Cheer on the animals of the zodiac race, learn a new dance called the salt grinder, and journey to heaven for a meeting with the great and powerful Jade Emperor and his hound of heaven. Performed for children and their families by our company of young actors. Adapted for our stage by Brent Askari and with help from cultural consultant Linh Nghiem, and directed by Reba Short.

Funded in part by a grant from the Maine Arts Commission, an independent state agency supported by the National Endowment for the Arts.
